The Gas Mechanism will enable Biomethane Market Growth and Joint Gas Purchasing, driving sustainable decarbonisation, strengthening security of energy supply, and supporting affordable energy across the EU.
In order to collect feedback on the novel features of the mechanism aimed at supporting the growing biomethane sector, the Commission prepared the EU survey below aimed at actors from across the biomethane value chain and to public bodies engaged in development of biomethane. The survey is divided into four parts corresponding to the possible future functionalities of the mechanism: matching demand and supply, regulatory transparency, investment conditions and access to finance.
